You may ask De Goede Networking to delete personal information associated with your WhatsApp or Meta support conversation from Atlas Network Engine (ANE).
How to submit a request
Email trish@degoedenetworking.co.za with the subject ANE data deletion request. Please include:
- your full name;
- the WhatsApp number or Meta account used to contact us;
- a short description of the conversation or approximate date; and
- whether you are requesting deletion of all ANE conversation data or only a particular conversation or attachment.
Do not email passwords, one-time codes, identity-document copies, or unrelated sensitive information unless our Information Officer specifically requests a secure verification method.
Identity verification
We must take reasonable steps to prevent one person from deleting another person’s information. We may verify the request through the email address, WhatsApp number, or Meta account already associated with the support conversation, or by asking for limited additional information that can be matched to our records. Verification information is used only to process the request.
What can be deleted
After verification, the deletion process can remove:
- WhatsApp or Meta support conversations held in ANE;
- customer-supplied support media stored by ANE; and
- completed, pending, or dismissed Hermes-generated reply drafts related to those conversations.
The process is reviewed before deletion and records only a one-way hash of requester and subject identifiers plus deletion counts. It does not retain the requester’s raw identifier in the deletion audit.
Records that may need to be retained
Deletion from ANE does not automatically delete data held independently by WhatsApp, Meta, your own device, or another service. Please use those services’ privacy controls for their copies.
De Goede Networking may retain limited CRM, invoice, security, ticket, or work records where required by law, contract, legitimate business recordkeeping, or the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims. We will explain any material exception and continue protecting retained information.
Confirmation
We will acknowledge the request, tell you if further verification is needed, and confirm when the ANE deletion process has been completed or explain why part of the request could not lawfully be completed. Requests are handled without unreasonable delay, taking account of verification, record volume, and applicable legal obligations.
