1. Services Provided

De Goede Networking provides a variety of IT solutions, including but not limited to:

  • Web Services: Web hosting and domain registration.
  • Technical Support: Computer and laptop repairs, hardware installations, and software troubleshooting.
  • Infrastructure: Design and installation of internal networks and Wi-Fi access points.
  • Connectivity: Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP) services.

2. Repairs and Hardware

  • Data Backup: While we take every precaution, De Goede Networking is not responsible for any data loss during repairs or software installations. It is the client’s responsibility to back up all data before handing over equipment.
  • Quotes: Repair quotes are valid for [e.g., 7 days]. We reserve the right to adjust pricing if additional faults are discovered during the repair process.
  • Uncollected Items: Hardware left uncollected for more than [e.g., 60 or 90 days] after completion may be sold to defray costs.

3. Hosting and Domains

  • Renewals: Domain and hosting renewals are the client's responsibility. Failure to pay renewal fees on time may lead to the suspension of services or loss of the domain name.
  • Uptime: While we strive for 100% uptime, hosting services are provided "as is" and "as available." We are not liable for any business loss resulting from temporary server downtime.

4. WISP and Network Installations

  • Service Availability: WISP speeds are "best effort" and can be affected by weather, line-of-sight obstructions, or network congestion.
  • Equipment: Any equipment installed by De Goede Networking remains our property until fully paid for. Access to the premises must be granted for maintenance or equipment recovery if a contract is terminated.
  • Acceptable Use: Users may not use our network for illegal activities, including copyright infringement or cyber-attacks.

5. Payment Terms

  • Invoices are payable upon receipt unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • We reserve the right to suspend internet or hosting services if accounts are in arrears.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, De Goede Networking shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including loss of profits) arising from the use of our services or the failure of any hardware/software supplied.

7. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
